Nice bike. But how much is the bill if it rolls off the stand and you have to replace a mirror? How much is the left mirror (stand side) compared to the right? (Price gouging?). How much is the ECU if you fry it accidentally changing a battery? How long to get the parts? These bikes are great, but looking at total cost of ownership should include service costs, replacement parts and supply chain efficiency. I for one love the MV-Agusta bikes, but there's no way I'd own one based on its dealer network. - not because they are bad, but because they are underdeveloped (here in NZ). I like your reviews, but need more real-life scenarios as part of an evaluation - not just the ride.

Regards,

Thanks for the video Alastair. You appear quite enthralled with the 1250GS, and I honestly don't recall you posting any downsides or annoyances, if you did, I missed them. I'm not yet at the point in my life where I have to own a GS as you propose, but there's still time...

Great video Al, thanks so much. Would you be so kind as to share a bit more rationale on the choice of the T31s? Is it just past experience and success or is there more to it? Also very nice return on investment with the Arrow can without a remap. Audio track improvement IMO as well.

An extra 4 bhp - wow. Shame there is no chance to use it on a track day. Still plenty of opportunity to really annoy other road users and the general public and hasten the demise of motorcycling. I've just got a R version for Xmas and look forward to using it on track - in its standard form. Perhaps you might want to fit running lights to blind as well as deafen? Surely the trick of road riding is to make progress without drawing attention to yourself? Or am I a just a grumpy old git?

How you managed to complete that 3 hours with no prep, Alastair - fair play. A really good vid, showing what it takes to compete in that amazing race - Don't think I'll be doing it any time soon, though!
