When men were men, when anti-wheelie was a mere thought in the minds of exceptionally clever men, when American men were good at racing GP bikes. Amen. Men.

If you didn’t know, this is Eddie Lawson in 1992 giving it big licks on his infamous Cagiva C593. We’re unsure on the circuit, although ’92 was the year Steady Eddie took Cagiva’s first 500GP race win.

We unearthed this gem while searching through MV Agusta’s press area. Cagiva was founded by Claudio Castiglioni, named after his son (Giovanni, who now owns MV) and the home of the factory (Varese). Today’s history lesson over…
