Is there anything shit in Valentino Rossi’s arsenal? VR46 is arguably the fastest, most charismatic and influential motorcycle racer ever, his girlfriend is incredibly fit, he likes to party in Ibiza, and he’s just as talented on four wheels.
I flew straight into Milan after the 959 Panigale launch and onto the Monza Rally, where Rossi obliterated a feast of world-class drivers to take victory in his factory M-Sport Ford, piss flaps and all – his fourth win of the traditional end-of-season shindig. He was joined by Uccio and the Brivio brothers (Davide Brivio of Suzuki MotoGP fame who used to work in VR’s Yamaha camp) in a, erm, colourful setup, and the only team with full-factory M-Sport support. Also representing the two-wheeled fraternity was MXer, Tony Cairoli.
It comes as no surprise that the paddock was brimming with Rossi fans, an abundance of VR46 merchandise, and dartboards furnished with pics of Marquez and Lorenzo. If you’re looking for a winter retreat next year, the event is highly recommended. Here’s a slick edit from Aldo Ricci…
